Plot
The film begins with the introduction of Arundhati (Anushka Shetty), a rich and influential woman who runs several charitable trusts and is respected by everyone. She is engaged to Rahul (Arjan Bajwa), a doctor who loves her dearly. She visits her ancestral village for her marriage. There, she meets her grandfather (Sayaji Shinde) who tells her about her great-grandmother, Jejamma (also Anushka Shetty), who was a brave and benevolent queen of the Gadwal dynasty in the 1920s. Jejamma was married to her cousin (Deepak) who died in a war. She then became the ruler of the kingdom and protected it from the British invasion. Meanwhile, Pasupathi (Sonu Sood), an evil tantrik who lusts for Jejamma, returns to the kingdom after learning a dark secret from his guru. He tries to rape Jejamma but she escapes and reaches the temple. There, she cuts off his tongue and buries him alive in a tomb. However, Pasupathi's spirit remains alive and vows to take revenge on Jejamma and her descendants. He starts haunting and killing anyone who comes near the temple or the tomb.
In the present day, Arundhati learns that she looks like Jejamma and that Pasupathi is after her. She also finds out that she has inherited some of Jejamma's spiritual powers and that she is the only one who can stop Pasupathi. She seeks the help of Anwar (Sayaji Shinde), a Muslim exorcist who knows about Pasupathi's history. He tells her that she has to destroy Pasupathi's body before he can possess her. He also gives her a sacred dagger that belonged to Jejamma.
Arundhati goes to the tomb where Pasupathi's body is kept and tries to burn it. However, Pasupathi's spirit attacks her and injures her severely. He then possesses Rahul and tries to kill Arundhati. Arundhati manages to stab Rahul with the dagger and free him from Pasupathi's control. She then confronts Pasupathi in the temple and engages in a fierce battle with him. She finally kills him by beheading him with the dagger and burning his body. She then collapses due to her injuries.
The film ends with Arundhati recovering in the hospital and being reunited with Rahul. She also receives the blessings of Jejamma's spirit who appears before her.
